The all new GDU RF 50mm AF lens takes the best selling "nifty 50" Canon RF 50mm F1.8 and wraps it in an almost indestructible armor machined from billet 6061 Aluminum, even the anodized red lens hood and internal mask is cut out of metal and bolted to the housing.
Just as our previous lenses we also removed the manual focus ring as well as all external switches and leave all adjustments to the internal motors so there is nothing to get knocked out of place when this lens is mounted to a camera flying through the air on a drone, bolted to the side of a helmet, dangling from a car mount or tucked away in a crash housing.
On RED cameras the lens can focus and change iris via RED CONTROL or the camera's internal focus control, and on Canon RF mount cameras the lens will operate with AF and Iris just like it's canon donor.
On Canon cameras this lens covers all full frame R series cameras without vignetting.
On RED cameras this lens covers all current RED sensors up to 8k including Raptor VV, Monstro VV, and all S35 and S35+ previous sensors.
